International Container Transshipment Terminal

India's first transshipment terminal, opened 2011, run by DP World.

Also called Vallarpadam Terminal.

The International Container Transshipment Terminal on Vallarpadam, north of Fort Kochi, opened in 2011 as India's first transshipment terminal. DP World runs it for the Cochin Port Authority, handling container ships and cargo rather than passengers. It is part of the working harbour infrastructure that supports Kochi's long maritime and trading life.
