Historic building
A small compound behind the Fort Kochi police station with eight cramped cells, concrete beds, and cast-iron doors where Indian freedom fighters were imprisoned. The site is easy to miss, but its cells became an exhibition venue during the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, including a show that placed the history of the jail alongside the work of India's first woman photojournalist.
